Winter woes and Sydney shows

Monique diMattina

The “winter blues” (or 'seasonal affective disorder') is a type of depression that typically starts in autumn, continuing into the winter months, sapping you of chutzpah and rendering you humourless in the extreme.

We all may suffer this affliction from time to time.

Remedies can include weird hippy thermal therapies, air tickets to warmer climes and evenings out with friends to dine & wine til our cheeks do shine, we do a conga line and we look divine and drink gin & lime and have a funky good-time.

So why not join us Sat 6 July for a bevvie & a boogie with the baby grand in the warm wooded walls of the historic and sneakily alley- hidden Kelvin Club?

SAT 6th JULY                                                                            KELVIN CLUB bookings (03) 9645 5711                             Dinner/show 7pm $75      Show only 8.30pm $35                                 Featuring Paul Williamson, Howard Cairns and Michael Jordan and an exclusive on-the-spot song-in-an-hour which we will write all together plus all the radio hits from the new album, not to mention really great food from the Kelvin Club kitchen AND a copy of Nola's Ark with each ticket. Bookings essential!

But wait, there's more.

NOLA'S ARK NEWS... meanwhile back on the ranch, a big thank you to all the 24 hour party people that packed Chapel off Chapel for the NOLA'S ARK cd launch @ Stonnington Jazz Festival.   It was a funky good time even if I say so.  NOLA'S ARK has been rocking ABC RN, Classic FM and local radio all over the country for a few weeks now, was featured in a lovely Rhythms Mag spread and is about to get splish splashed all over The Age and Sydney Morning Herald.  There is now a wee clip for the smash hit single Dig a Hole which you can check out HERE

Any punters that simply cannot wait until Sat 6 July to get their groove on could pop on down to READINGS books/music, Lygon St Carlton this Friday night 6pm for a specially intimate in-store gig & cd signing event.

I think that's all for now.

Thanks for listening and keep warm, MdM xx
