Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel hosts an honor cordon to welcome Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa to the Pentagon at 5:30 p.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Pedestrian Bridge only. Plan to arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call 703-697-5131 for escort to the cordon.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashton B. Carter has no public or media events on his schedule.

Secretary of the Navy Raymond E. Mabus gives remarks at the Colorado Capital Conference at 10 a.m. EDT, in room 902, Hart Senate Office Building, Washington D.C.

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert will speak at the Joint Women's Leadership Symposium at 12:30 p.m. EDT, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, National Harbor, Md.
