P0195 - Campus Fire & Life Safety: Codes and Systems   The United States Fire Administration’s National Fire Academy (NFA) is recruiting students and instructor candidates to attend a pilot class for its new two-day course Campus Fire & Life Safety: Codes and Systems. The pilot will be offered September 14-15, 2013 at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) Campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland.    Course Description: This course will empower the learner to identify and mitigate common campus fire and life safety risks as well as understanding the basic components and operation of fire protection and life safety systems.   The target audience for this course will include (but not be limited to): Campus staff with responsibility for student safety, including campus housing coordinators. Fire department staff (both on-campus and off-campus). Local government officials (code enforcement, building inspection, etc.).   Class Size: The class will consist of a maximum of 24 students   Application Information: Applications must be received by close of business August 1, 2013. Lodging is provided at no cost to representatives of career or volunteer departments and State/local governments. Meal costs and transportation expenses are the responsibility of the individual participants or the sponsoring agency. There is no Student Stipend Reimbursement for this pilot offering.
