Are you the sort of person that likes to keep a permanent record of the most interesting web pages that you come across? If so, you'll be well aware that there's only a limited number of ways you can do so.

Which is why I was so impressed by a Windows program called LWA, or Local Web Archive. When you find a page that you want to keep, copy the URL to your clipboard then open LWA and paste the address into it. The program grabs a fresh copy of the page, with all its individual elements, and adds it to the database.

You can quickly browse through all your archived pages, using the program's in-built web browser. Links on saved pages work properly, if you click them. A search facility lets you search for any text across your entire archive.

Whatever topics you're interested in, if you like researching things on the web then this is your ultimate notebook.
