Breaking News -- House OKs federal ban of abortions after 20 weeks; unlikely to become law

A measure to restrict abortions to the first 20 weeks after conception has passed the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. The bill, one of the most far-reaching anti-abortion bills in years, will not get a vote in the Democratic-controlled Senate. The White House has issued a veto threat and called the measure "an assault on a woman's right to choose."
