Breaking News -- 'Fast & Furious' keeps 'After Earth' grounded at box office

"Fast & Furious" took the No. 1 spot in the weekend box office race for a second consecutive weekend with $34.5 million, lifting overall ticket sales to $170.4 million. The Will Smith sci-fi thriller "After Earth" disappointed, mustering only third place with $27 million. The film marked the third big-budget science fiction film to fall flat in less than two months.
