From Betsy Malloy, your Guide to California Travel
If you've been doing any research on California travel at all, you've surely seen advertisements about various discount cards and programs designed to save you money. So have we, and we wondered if their claims were true - and whether they would work for us or our readers. We've read up, clicked through, added up and came to conclusions about which cards are right for you. Here's a round up of the results:

Los Angeles Deals
  • Southern California CityPASS: Best if you're going to Disneyland, Sea World and Universal Studios
  • Hollywood CityPASS: Good if you want to visit Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, take a tour or two and either Dolby Theatre tour or go to the Hollywood Museum
  • Go Los Angeles Card: Includes Universal Studios, Aquarium of the Pacific, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain and a lot of other attractions
