May 30, 2013 2013 National Preparedness Report Released 2013 National Preparedness Report Released Presidential Policy Directive 8: National Preparedness requires an annual National Preparedness Report (NPR) that summarizes national progress in building, sustaining and delivering the 31 core capabilities outlined in the National Preparedness Goal released in September 2011.   The newly released 2013 NPR reviews the past year and shares the progress that whole community partners – including all government, private and nonprofit sectors, faith-based organizations, communities and individuals – have made in strengthening national preparedness and to identify where preparedness gaps remain. The findings in the 2013 NPR will provide insight for whole community partners in determining program priorities, resource allocation and a platform to communicate with stakeholders about shared concerns.
