This week FEMA's Emergency Management Institute, Integrated Emergency Management Section conducted an exercise-based training course in Eagle County, Colorado. The course was designed to help Eagle County prepare for the 2015 Alpine Ski World Championships by practicing how to integrate an Incident Management Team into their response plan.
Barry Smith, Emergency Management Director, Eagle County, Colorado said "The IMT will be responsible for the different venues within the event and the Emergency Operations Center will handle all of other concerns that Eagle County will encounter during the event. This is working out well for us. It is getting a number of people talking and this will pay dividends when it comes to planning for this very significant event to come to Eagle County."
